Wandering Weekly 3: Escape
‘Click’ shuts the door as dawn breaks over the city
International I wish though my journey would be…
Our tryst in the moonlight has ended in shame
Escape crowds my mind as teardrops on a pane
This city envelopes me in its morning peace
Helps calm my fevered brain and coax away my sleep
A persistent dance beat will soon drown out your voice
Official our verdict and yet we don’t have a choice.
Certainly there’s a plan in the midst of this mess
Travelers we are, journeying though under duress.
Click goes the key on our locks, our bags, our lives!
International is our vacation and away we shall fly!
Our plane scoots off in a swoop of excitement
Escape is our plan and oooh baby I like it!
This is the point of getting a salary
Helps escape the banality of finance and family
A tryst on the beach, fresh air in the mountains
Official lover I am of souvenirs and old fountains!
Certainly we’ll explore culture nature and food
Travelers we are, wow! that puts me in a good mood!
I await yours with bated breath.

may be Nehru'[tryst with destiny] was a fatalist like the poet.
or the poet is an inspired soul by the gospel of the Gita' Karma Yoga'
''travellers we are''
but why this pessimism.from the beginning to the end of first stanza.moonlight provides no romance, only 'shame'.it is really a shame.the words like'click','ended in shame, escaping crowds,,city envelopes, fevered brain, coax away my sleep, the voice being drowned out, verdict, mess contribute to the creation aof a very depressing atmosphere.as if the world is in a slow poison.the poet has resigned to her fate, the ground under her feet is slowly caving in.
a very sensitive portralal of a state of mind in turmoil.agonised at the state of affairs around.
just a robotic movemnt to which the typical modern man is reduced into.[journeying under duress]
the poet has an eye foe the minutest phenomena, which externalise her sub-conscious[teardrops on a pane]
i would suggest her to 'wipe your hand accross your tearing-eyes and laugh.
a quintessential helpless poet,
lamenting in loneliness.
the poem is intense and so also the poet:)
[telephone rings]..........
shall deal with the part 2 later
as i got an urgent call from my boss to see him.
International research at it's scientific best
Amazing theories, which put my mind at unrest
Click, click click at the keypad all day
Cooking up methods so my efforts will pay
Escape into my medicine world
A pateint, a doctor and myself in a swirl,
Helping each other, a healthy body our goal
Our business to a side, helping our souls
A human life will not waste and go
Escape I will not till the the end of the show....
