One Voice, Many Worlds

A ripple in the water is sometimes all that is needed to signal catastrophic change. ONE ripple can make all the difference between existence and evolution.

Haiku

They drown in a sea
Of words where tradition chokes
Them with red bandhini.

They pray to salvage
secret remains of lost selves
surrendered to marriage.

The bangles, earrings,
Payals make noise so women
Wont be forgotten.

Thus they call their men
like ghosts lost in the memory
of humdrum routine.

'haiku' is a poem with three lines and usually seventeen syllables written in a style that is traditional in Japan,:(

yes i agree.... but if you count the syllables in each verse they are 5, 7, 5 respectively adding up to 17. i know it should only be 3 lines but then multiple verses came out, so. i know its not pure... obviously good haikus are way more concise and hard hitting. but i seem to have too many words in me :(
