Back from Vegas!

Heyyyy!!!!!
I got back on Friday last week but so so so sorry for the late blogging Ive been terribly busy with unpacking and sleeping and trying to fight sleep to catch up with work and *ahem* deciding to get engaged. But I did take a few (very few) pictures in Las Vegas because kept forgetting or felt weird - thinking Id be told off by some security guards or whatever. I also have read 3 books on the trip (mostly on flights), and seen one crappy movie (Omen). But first for Vegas.

We stayed at the Venetian Hotel, one of the newest (excepting the Wynn), and soon to be largest hotel in the world, with a brand new wing holding a few hundred rooms being built (as though two werent enough). The rooms are all bloody mini suites, (Oh I should have taken a picture!) You walk in, with the bathroom on one side in the passage comprising two basins, a shower, a tub, a separate cubicle with a toilet. A mirror faces you right opposite the bathroom. Then comes either a massive bed or two queen beds!!!!! with a minibar, a frig and a TV. Then you walk past the beds towards the window, a step down to a sitting and study area with every facility - fax, internet etc, and another TV. Absolutely the most spacious hotel ROOM i have ever stayed in. The hotel isnt that impressive from the outside though - it just looks like any Venetian lines building - but from the inside! Here are pictures of the lobby:

Its massive with a Sistine-Chapel type of ceiling, frescoes (supposedly all over) pillars and domed ceilings, a 3-D type floor, a mini Guggenheim Museum exhibiting paintings of Rubens and his peers, a gilted wishing fountain whose proceeds are donated to a drug rehabilitation centre owned by the builders of the hotel, a massive casino, umpteen restaurants and lounges, surrounding the massive casino, of which I only got one lousy pic.

Ok, the stupid pics arent loading so Im going to continue in another entry.

Love love.
